The Polish-Japanese Research and Innovation Forum

The name of this undertaking is Vistula-Sakura, The Polish-Japanese Research and Innovation Forum. The Vistula-Sakura is a non-profit, voluntary networking undertaking that connects scientists, engineers, and professionals from Poland and Japan. Vistula-Sakura has no legal personality, no bank account, and no financial activity. The Vistula-Sakura Forum has been granted the Honorary Patronage of The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tokyo.

The Vistula-Sakura’s main goal is to facilitate cooperation and hold exchanges among Polish and Japanese researchers, universities, and industries. Additional activities, such as an annual event (conference or symposium), seminars, online discussions, or collaborative projects, may be organized voluntarily by members. All activities are non-commercial and based on voluntary contributions.
Membership in the Vistula-Sakura is open and free to anyone interested in Polish–Japanese scientific and engineering cooperation. There are no membership fees or dues. Participation in events is voluntary.
The Vistula-Sakura is coordinated by two Coordinators (also referred to as “Co-Chairs”):

The main channel of communication is the official website of the forum, and additional digital platforms of the forum as appropriate (e.g. email lists, social media). All official announcements, event information, and updates are published there by the Coordinators.
The Vistula-Sakura does not handle any money. It does not collect fees, hold accounts, or manage budgets. If financial support is necessary for an event, it must be provided directly by hosting institutions or sponsors, without passing through Vistula-Sakura.
These rules may be revised by agreement between the two Coordinators, after consultation with active members and the Embassy.
The forum may be dissolved.
